What to do if your Dell laptop wireless not working

Problems with wireless connection can kick your Dell laptop at anytime, day or night. Needless to say, you need immediate help to fix them and get back the Dell laptop on a wireless network. Here’s a guide Dell computer support for you. This will help you easily solve your problems with a wireless connection.
Instructions:
Make sure you have an active Internet connection. Make a LAN connection to the Dell laptop and connect to the Internet. Make sure that the internet is working or not. If not, diagnose an Internet connection. Contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider), if you are not able to fix network problems yourself. If your Internet connection is working properly, follow the steps below.
Click Start, click Control Panel. When the Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools. Look at the services and double-click it. When the services window, look for the wireless certificate, right-click and select Properties. When the Properties dialog box, select Automatic from the drop down menu next to Startup Type. If it is already set to Automatic, do not worry and just select it. When finished, click Apply, then OK, to close the properties window.
Go to Control Panel and double-click the network connection or network & Sharing Center (depending on you see.) Look at your wireless network connection, right-click and select Enable. Again, right-click the wireless connection and select Properties. Select the Wireless Networks tab and check the box next to Use Windows to configure my wireless network is enabled. If not, do the needful. Click OK to exit the properties. Close all windows and restart your computer. Reconnect to your wireless network and check if it works or not. Skip to the next step if the problem persists.
Click Start, click Run. When the Run dialog box, type “CMD” and click OK. This will open a command prompt. “IPCONFIG / release ‘type (without the quotes and the like) and then press ENTER on your keyboard. If you see” access denied “error message, close the window. Log off the computer and log back in as an administrator. Open a command prompt and run the command again. When done, type “ipconfig / renew ‘and press enter. This will update the IP-address of the wireless communication. “IPCONFIG / flushdns” When you’re done, type, and press Enter. Out of the box and restart your computer. When finished, reconnect to the wireless communications and check. If the problem persists, go to the next step.
Open a command prompt again. Type ‘Netsh Winsock reset and press Enter. You can also enter ‘Netsh Winsock reset catalog “instead of the previous command. When this is done, you will see a message like” successfully reset catalog Winsock, restart your computer. Restart the computer. When finished, reconnect to the wireless network and check. If the problem persists, open a command prompt and type ‘Netsh Int ip reset reset.log. Press Enter to execute the command. When prompted, restart your computer.
If you get “turned off the radio” error message after replacing the power plug in a laptop Dell, try this method. Click Start, click Run. “Regedit” in the Run window type and press Enter. When the Windows Registry Editor, branch HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, click on the + button next to it. Go Software> Microsoft> Windows> CurrentVersion> Run. Under Run, check if you see a third-party LAN Manager records. If there is, delete it. Now go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER> Software> Microsoft> Windows> CurrentVersion> Run. Run a check of records LAN Manager and remove, if any.
In addition to these methods, make sure you are using the correct channel number for the wireless connection. Open a Web browser and visit Dell. Click Drivers and Downloads section and look for the driver file to your laptop model Dell. Download the file and save it to your computer when prompted. Exit the browser window and navigate to the download folder or in a place where you saved the file. Open and execute it. If an archive file, extract its contents to another folder and save it. Then open and run the file. Follow the instructions on the screen and update the drivers for your laptop Dell. Reboot the computer afterwards. Be careful if the wireless connection is working or not.
