Judge Judy is Always Up Top

Special thanks to Dominique Daniels for submitting this post

Most people either love or hate the new spawn of court television shows on the air today. One that I particularly love to watch on direct tv satellite TV is Judge Judy. Judge Judy was one of the first shows of this nature to air and now several more have followed in its footsteps. This show features an elderly woman named Judge Judy. Participants in the show plead their case on small matters of dispute and Judge Judy comes up with a ruling. This show follows more of a reality TV role then a sitcom although it can just as funny as a sitcom.

The idea behind the show is to point out how stupid people can actually be. Many times Judge Judy will catch people in lies or stupidity during the proceedings. At times this elderly Judge can be a bit snappy. This is what makes the show amusing. She openly insults the intelligence of her guests as well as points out key matters in the case. If guests do not come prepared with the proper documents regarding their case, they are sure to get in to trouble.

Judge Judy is more like an extremely harsh mother then a judge. She always says what’s on her mind and most of the time it is not a complement. Shows feature two cases. Each side states their case and after all the documents and questions are answered Judge Judy makes a ruling for a monetary reimbursement to the winner of the case. Most of the time this monetary ruling is much less than the clients would like but they are almost always just happy to win their case.

Crime in Houston

With the new job we will be moving to Houston, TX. This is a bit awkward for me because I attended Rice University in the 90s. I enjoyed the city back then. We all had fun of going out every night and never really thought about crime. But I knew it existed. Cars were frequently broken into if you left them parked downtown and my roommate was robbed in a bar bathroom. Back then, no one really cared. But now I have kids and am thinking more about home security than bar hopping.

I read that Houston, TX has a worse crime rate than New York City…I hope that statistic is skewed due to population density. Our home is a safe area and we have visited it twice and feel safe. My wife was talking to the neighbors and learned there have been a few burglaries in the past but nothing recent. The neighborhood community is frequently patrolled and near a police station so that is good.

I do plan on adding a little extra security though. We are definitely not a gun family so that is not an option. The kids want a dog so that may be a good option. Even if the dog is friendly it will probably bark. We are also scheduled all the locks to be changed next week. I have been researching home alarms Houston and am interviewing two home alarm system companies to learn more about their security options. I hope I am not being too paranoid but I figure better safe than sorry.

Penn and Teller Tell it Like it is!

Written by Vinnie Esposirio

If you watch Penn & Teller’s Bull****! on Showtime through direct tv deals, you will hear a lot of foul language and see a lot of unnecessary nudity. But you may also learn something. This series has been on for 7 seasons now, taking on topics like religion, 9/11 and AA. They say they based the show around Harry Houdini’s beliefs, the great magician who spent many of his years debunking mediums. Penn and Teller have basically the same mission in this show; they aim to show people the truth about concepts they have been fooled about. Many viewers agree that the earlier seasons typically have the best episodes. “Exercise vs. Genetics,” “Recycling” and “Hypnosis” are three that readily come to mind and really explain the show well. All three do a great job of what this show does best: let experts talk and hang themselves. For instance, the exercise episode contains a gym owner who has his own brand of supplements and a book claiming anyone can look like a fitness model, but he tells the camera that supplements are not helpful and that few people can look like a fitness model. The recycling episode contains a young woman who is the spokesperson for her environmental cause and yet can’t answer very basic questions about why environmental programs are important. And the hypnosis episode contains a woman who claims she can enlarge body parts and cure cancer with her techniques. Penn and Teller just put them on the air.

But even the newer seasons have their great topics. Season 7 includes a great episode exploring the various ways people are told they might relieve stress. Rather than logical steps like exercise or even something like biofeedback. Penn and Teller find the people who take advantage, those who gouge people already stressed by promising relief for a steep price. What is great about the show is that Penn and Teller don’t tell us what to believe. They give the facts. As long as you can take those facts with cursing, nudity and a bit of magic, this is a great show.

I Never Knew My Computer Could Do all of This!

I recently planned a trip to Orlando, FL for our family. I admit that at times I can be a tiny bit old fashioned, or at least I used to. But not anymore. I was discussing our hotel choices with my wife, and I had asked her to write a list of possible hotel choices so I could call them and compare prices and package deals. She glanced at me with a puzzled look on her face, and explained that we could use our kid’s computer to research hotels and prices, without having to call anybody.

Several months ago I had subscribed to hughes internet service for my kids to use on their homework. They know probably everything there is to know about computers, but I never really messed with them. My wife pulled up a chair and suddenly starts clicking on a bunch of different windows and buttons. The next thing I know, she has a list of over 50 different hotels pulled up on the screen, comparing hotel rates and all, in just a few seconds time.

She was able to pull up actual photos of the hotel suites we were thinking about, which really impressed me. This process was so much easier than calling each individual hotel and trying to negotiate on the prices. Not only was she able to access up-to-date photos of the rooms, she was also able to download a “virtual tour” of the hotel, from inside to out. In no more than 20 minutes time, we had compared over 50 hotel packages and booked our room.

I couldn’t believe how convenient this was. For years, I had ignored these machines and insisted to do things the old fashioned way. But from this day forward, I suspect that one of the first places I turn when I need information is going to be satalite internet.

Perfect repair shop information

Houston auto repair listings on repairpal.com were of great help when I moved to that city and had no clues about any repair shop. A friend told me about repairpal.com and said that I would find any repair shop listing on this website and that too of any city in the United States. He was right as I found Houston listings within a minute of searching.

Acura Integra review on repairpal.com was perfect in shaping up my decision. I was interested in buying this car but I have since changed my opinion. The car is great but I am looking for some other specifications.

I have also been able to find information about oil change  and other terms used in automobile service. I was not aware of some of the terms present in the glossary but since have become a fan.

I always visit repairpal.com whenever I need to tune up  my car or have to undergo any major repairs. I run a basic search and repairpal.com offers me dozens of listings. My friend made the right recommendation and now I will like to recommend repairpal.com to all those people that are looking for quick and hassle-free access to repair shops.

My wife has found the best insurance offers

It was my wife that first discovered Berry Insurance Agency. We were already exhausted with paying the hefty monthly premiums to other companies and were seriously looking for an affordable offer. My wife took to the internet for help and found Berry Insurance Agency within an hour of searching. Insurance Franklin, MA offer at Berry Insurance Agency was simply great and this encouraged us to discuss our insurance problems with the company.

Auto Insurance Franklin, MA was our first priority as we did not have any insurance on our car at the time. We wanted to cover our vehicle as soon as possible and Berry Insurance Agency helped us in doing that. I made several calls to the company and inquired about their offers. Both  my wife and I were quite impressed with their rates and extent of coverage and decided to give it a shot.

Homeowners Insurance Franklin, MA is the next offer in line that we are currently exploring. We have already used the free quotes feature to ascertain the basics of this offer. We will soon contact the company to inquire further details. My wife is pretty excited with the offer and we may soon sign up with this coverage. We are satisfied with the offers made by Berry Insurance Agency.

Key to the success of your trade show…

Some events are the demands of your business, and are very necessary not only for the publicity but also for conveying the right usage and benefits in the form of presentation in front of them. As the thing which is displayed in front of people with all the workings and other things has more impact than watching in ads.

So I on and off arrange trade shows, for what is not important to tell here but the most important thing is how. I am proud to be affiliated with your company, you always provide me best quality products, and also have been great help in arrangements. I always have my trade show flooring, trade show carpet, logo mats, logo canopy, and banners in fact each and everything from this company. I really like your website, as it make all the ordering system and information taking very easy and quick, and the best is that you can reach it anytime from anywhere.

Thank you so much for your help. These are the most important things in your show, so bringing them from right place is very important, and I will recommend this website to all, as I am working with them from so long and no complaints yet.

Life insurance leads…

Life Insurance is another important insurance policy because people care about their child and loved ones. If you want to look after your family and child even after you passed away, then life insurance is the only thing that can help you and your family. So the concept of taking life insurance is increasing so much. That provoked me to do some kind of business related to this field.

So I searched online, and I was really glad when I found your website. It is so good that I can make money out of my hobby. I have seen many affiliates lifeinsurance companies, but most of them were bogus, but I am glad that I found your website. Now I can make money related to this field, with my own business parallel to it. The best thing is that there is no tension in this business. No customer dealing, no other such formalities. It is simply great. I am glad that I am one of your affiliates. Thank you so much for showing me the right direction. This is just like a addiction to me, that now I am planning to go to Mortgage side as well. This program is highly recommended by me.

Best place for great women outfits

I am a professional woman and always in need of good clothing. Besides the professional look that I have to maintain in my workplace, I also like to experiment with my clothing and to try newer outfits with modern designs. People say that I am a big fashion buff but I consider myself to be reasonably fashion conscious.Unfortunately, I was feeling totally lost in the selection of clothes as I was tired of searching for that perfect combination from a single outlet. I had to go to different places for Womens outfits and it took a lot of time and energy, besides spending on the commuting costs. Someone told me about the great variety of clothing available on this site; I was initially reluctant to visit your portal but since my first visit, I am truly hooked to this place. I was really surprised by the variety available on Womens complete outfits; I was unable to find this at other places. The prices were quite affordable and even Womens suits, that are quite expensive at other places, were within my reach. Overall, I am quite impressed with this site and I would also recommend others to solve their couture problems by visiting this portal.

Beneficial in every aspect of life…

Will learning to play the piano make you more intelligent?  Could the brain grow larger than normal by learning to play a musical instrument such as a keyboard or piano?  Well I can assure you of that, since the time I am learning piano chords playing, I have become sharper and more intelligent, my coordination ability has increased a lot.

My hand and eye coordination has increased so much, and it not only helps me in piano chords playing but in other aspects of life as well. I am more organized and have more control on everything. So if you have such questions too than don’t hesitate and leave this amazing talent just because of this, because this piano chords learning can help you a lot in every aspect of life.

The one who helped me a lot in coming to this stage is Yoke Wong, an excellent and brilliant teacher, whose lectures are for every kind of student. Now I am learning improvisation from her. And I am more than happy, because just because of her I am able to fulfill my dream, and I am getting better and sharper in other phases of life too. Thank you so much for being there for me.
