Sam Foti worked at joined Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for several years before joining The MONY Group Inc. in 1988. Samuel J. Foti received his first promotion in 1991. He was promoted from National Director of Agency Operations to Executive Vice President, Insurance Operations. This was the position he held until promoted as the Group’s President and Chief Operating Officer in 1994.

 

The MONY Group Inc. deals in life insurance, asset accumulation, and retail brokerage products and services to individuals, corporations, and institutions. The company has various subsidiaries performing different functions and handling different business categories. Insurance products include individual life insurance products, for whole life, term life, universal life, variable universal life, corporate-owned life, last survivor whole life, last survivor universal life, last survivor variable universal life, group universal life, and special-risk products. The company also provides flexible premium variable annuities, single premium immediate annuities, proprietary mutual funds, investment management services, and many other financial services.

One of the company’s subsidiaries that report directly to  Samuel Foti  is Enterprise Capital Management, Inc. This is a privately owned hedge fund sponsor. The subsidiary invests in the public equity and hedging markets of the United States and Canada.

Empowerment and Teamwork Seminars

Empowered groups and teams play vital roles in the performance of organizations. In North America the concept of empowered teams is very common. A shift of power is very common in Asian Countries. Empowered teams and groups have changed the way of organizations work.

 

Empowered teams have replaced more traditional working methods.  Now managers and leaders need to change their thinking, while in the past authority was held strictly by the mangers and leaders. Currently empowerment is being given to line managers and employees. There are many companies that are arrange a teamwork seminar to give information to employees and teams regarding empowered team work.

 

In teamwork seminars the focus is on the skills required by the employees, their roles and their authoritarian responsibilities. It is true that when you give authority to a person, the person is likely tries to try to show something extraordinary and unique. Why not empower teams so that employees will go the extra mile for the organization? To generate revenue organizations need to spend some money on their employees’ training. Team building training should be arranged by the companies at least once a year so that all employees are current with their training.
